In 1990, University Personnel Services became Human Resource Services (HR). HR was run by Assistant Administrative Vice Presidents, who included: Carolyn P. Lloyd (1990-1994), R. Blair Condie (1996-1997), Carolyn Lloyd Henrie (1997-1999), R. Blair Condie (1999-2005), and Forrest L. Flake (2005- ).

Functions

Human Resource Services’ mission is to lead in building an environment that engenders excellence from all who work at BYU. Human Resource Services oversees all departments and offices that deal with employment at BYU.

Assets and Administrative Structure

Human Resource Services reported to a Vice President of the University. HR was run by an Assistant Administrative Vice President. There were these main divisions: Benefits Administration, which became Benefits and Employee Relations/EEO in 1993, which became Benefits and Compensation Services in 2001, Employee Relations/Equal Employment Office which begins in 2001, Human Resource Development, Placement and Employment Services until 1997--which then became Employment Services, Risk Management and Safety (until it appears to leave HR in 2005), and the Wage and Salary Administration until 2001.
