Brigham Young University. Wage and Salary Administration

The Wage and Salary Administration was an office under the direction of University Personnel Services and later Human Resource Services which served to make policies on titles and salaries of University employees. R. Berrey Parker served as the Wage and Salary Specialist/Administrator/Director within University Personnel Services from 1979 to 1988. Berrey Parker started his association with this Administration and the Committee in 1973 attending University Personnel Services staff meetings. In 1985, the Wage and Salary Administration changed its name to Administrative Salary. In 1990, Administrative Salary became Salary and Organization Services, or just Salary Services with Don Lyman, under Human Resource Services. In 2001, Salary Services was absorbed into Benefits and Compensation Services under Human Resource Services. Other Directors included: Donald R. Lyman (1986-1999) and Peggy Fulmer (1999-2001).

Assets and Administrative Structure

The Wage and Salary Administration reported to the Director of University Personnel Services until 1990 when Human Resources became the new superior unit. It functioned under the direction of a director. In 2001, Salary Services were absorbed into Benefits and Compensation Services.
