Brigham Young University. Dept. of Health Education

The Department of Health Education was established in 1957 in a renaming of the earlier Department of Health Education and Safety, and remained part of the College of Physical Education. The department taught courses leading to a degree in health education, as well as providing general education health instruction. In 1960 the department changed its name to the Department of Health and Safety Education. David D. Geddes served as department chair.
