Brigham Young University. Dept. of Health and Safety Education

The Department of Health and Safety Education was made part of the College of Physical Education at its establishment in 1960. It worked with the home, University health center, physicians, dentists, public health departments, and other organizations working toward health promotion. In 1970 the department changed its name to Dept. of Health Sciences. Ray Watters served as chairman during this time and continued serving as chairman under the new department name.
