Student Life administers various campus services, including counselling, campus security, housing, student health, and student government. It was initially administered by the Dean of Student Life and then was administered by the Administrative Vice President of Student Life. Administrators have included David M. Sorenson (-1986), Maren Mouritsen (1986-1996), Alton L. Wade (1996-2001), and Janet S. Scharman (2001- ).

Functions

Student Life functions to help students who have not declared a major (open-major students) to complete their General Education courses as well as choose a major. The division also administers Campus Life, the Counseling and Career Center, Residence Life, the Student Health Center, and the University Police.
