In 1905 the Lectures, Social Affairs, and Athletics Committee was divided into the Lectures and Social Affairs Committee and the Athletics Council. The council assisted in planning and scheduling intercollegiate athletic events and overseeing athletic facilities at the university, working with the Director of Athletics. Chairmen of the Athletics Council include Alfred Osmond (1905-1910, 1918-1920), E. L. Roberts (1910-1914, 1922-1928), Harvey Fletcher (1914-1916), L. H. Peterson (1916-1918), C. H.
