Brigham Young University. Communication Services
Communication Services was initiated in 1965. It took on overseeing production services within the University, including Broadcast Services, Communication Systems, Educational Media, Motion Pictures Production, Photo Studio, and University Press. By 1972 Communications Services was renamed Instructional Services Division. The director of Communication Services was Darrel J. Monson (1965-1972).

Communication Services was organized for the purpose of managing several formerly separate divisions. Services under Communication Services include Broadcast Services, Communication Systems, Educational Media Services, Motion Pictures Production, Photo Studio, and University Press.
