Brigham Young University. Printing and Publicity Committee

In 1911 the Printing and Advertising Committee was renamed the Printing and Publicity Committee. A. N. Merrill (1911-1916) continued to serve as its chairman. He was followed by E. H. Holt (1916-1917). In 1917 this committee was split into the Publicity Committee and the Catalogue and Other Quarterlies Committee.

Functions

The functions of the Printing and Publicity Committee were to supervise the publication and distribution of catalogues and University booklets, oversee recruiting and educational missionary work and arrange for newspaper advertising. They likewise handled the correspondence between the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the University.
