Brigham Young University. Division of Learning Resources
The Division of Learning Resources was organized in 1974 to better divide up the responsibilities under the director of the former unit, Instructional Services Division. The unit was organized by Darrel J. Monson who was the director until his death in 1975. Following Monson was William Farnsworth until the unit's end in the beginning of 1976, when Learning Resources was transferred administratively to the Harold B. Lee Library.

Functions
The Division of Learning Resources serviced faculty, administration, and staff through design, production, collection, organization, interpretation, and distribution of learning and research materials. These services were given respectively through three divisions which included: the Division of Instructional Research, Development, and Evaluation; the Division of Instructional Production Services; and the Library. In addition, the departments of Broadcast Services and Electronic Media provided supplementary services.

The director of the division was also the Assistant Academic Vice-President For Learning Resources and reported to the Associate Academic Vice-President as well as the Academic Vice-President.
