McKay School of Education Student Services when the Student Services Center changed names. The office moved once again in 2010 to Education Student Services when Student Services was renamed.

The Education Advisement and Certification Office assists students from the beginning of the freshman year through graduation and teacher licensure. Students majoring in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or communication disorders are advised concerning general education and major requirements, graduation requirements, and teacher licensure procedures.

Students majoring in elementary education, early childhood education, audiology, or speech-language pathology requirements, student teaching and other field experiences, graduation requirements, and teacher certification procedures. Secondary education majors in physical science or social science receive their total program advisement from the Education Advisement Center. All other secondary education majors receive certification advisement only from the EAC.

From 2008 to 2009 the Educational Advisement and Certification Office reported to the supervisor of the Student Services Center. Then from 2009 to the beginning of 2010 the office reported to the supervisor of Student Services within the David O. McKay School of Education.  Currently, the office is administered by the director of Education Student Services who reports to the dean of the David O. McKay School of Education.
