The Dept. of Instructional Psychology and Technology was established in 1997 within the David O. McKay School of Education. Chairmen have included: Paul F. Merrill (1997-2002), Russell T. Osguthorpe (2002-2004), Andrew S. Gibbons (2004-2015), Charles R. Graham (2015-2019), and Peter J. Rich (2019- ).
