The Department responsible for the fine arts went through three name changes after being organized in the Church Teachers College, finally settling on the Department of Correlated Arts in 1912. After the Church Teachers College split in 1920, the Department of Correlated Arts retained its name in the newly organized School of Arts and Sciences.
