Brigham Young University. University Traffic and Safety Committee
The University Traffic and Safety Committee sought to improve parking and traffic on campus in addition to maintaining campus safety. Consequently, this committee was also appointed to secure BYU campus in the event that BYU fell victim to disturbances from outside groups. From 1973 to 1980 this committee was merged with committee to hear traffic appeals. Chairmen of this committee include Sam Brewster (1968-1969, 1972-?), Swen Nielsen (1969-1972), David M. Sorensen (1980-1981), and Gail Halvorsen (1981-1984).
