The Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards Committee was involved in scholarships and awards to undergraduate students at the University. Chairman included: Dale L. Nelson (1963-1964); Boyd Worthington (1972-1973); Ford L. Stevenson, Director of Financial Aids, (1980-1984).

Functions

Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards served to implement the philosophy and policy to be used in granting scholarships and financial assistance to undergraduates at BYU as outlined by the Financial Aid Council. The Committee aided in interviewing and selecting recipients to receive scholarships and awards. The Committee also recommended considerations for policy or philosophical changes in regard to scholarships and awards to the Financial Aid Council.
