Functions

The functions of the Student Financial Aid Council were to research and make appropriate recommendations regarding the financial needs of BYU students, recommend philosophy and policies regarding the allocation of student financial aids at BYU, formulate lines of cooperation between inter-university departments to best provide financial services to the student in need, and review and recommend budgetary procedures and policies used in the distribution of financial aid funds.

The members of this committee were appointed by the President and responsible to Academic Vice President. The chairman of this committee was the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Records.
