The Student Aid and Employment Committee was created to help furnish students at BYU with employment. Its chairmen included O. W. Jarvis (1904-1905), E. D. Partridge (1905-1906, 1920-1924), E. S. Hinckley (1906-1910), Earl J. Glade (1910-1911), E. H. Smart (1911-1919), J. B. Keeler (1919-1920), H. V. Hoyt (1924-1928, 1929-1932), W. H. Boyle (1928-1929), Knight Allen (1932-1933), A. Rex Johnson (1933-1938), and Wesley P. Lloyd (1938-1946).

The functions of the Student Aid and Employment Committee was to help furnish employment for students at BYU. They likewise established minimum standards for the types of employment students could be engaged in.
Assets and Administrative Structure
This committee was headed by a chairman. Following 1937 the Dean of Men served as the chairman of this committee. In 1945 the Dean of Men became Dean of Students, and the chairman of the Student Aid and Employment Committee became a member of Special Services, and reported to the Dean of Students.
