Functions

Sports Information serves to run the BYU sports programs' media relations. They prepare programs for events, organize the selling of programs, arrange publicity before and after meets, sports' public relations, web site operations, keep statistics of games and players and how many people attend, send information and photos to competitors for news articles, and arrange press reservations and accommodations. They coordinate with ESPN or other networks. The Sports Information Director coordinates with other Sports Information Directors in the Western Athletic Conference on statistics, scores, rules, and nominations.
