Functions
The Department of Teacher Education was organized to develop effective and capable teachers. Course included: teaching in the church, basic concepts and principles of teaching, educational psychology, the state, the school, and the teacher, basic classroom procedures, elementary reading methods, elementary arithmetic methods, arts and crafts for elementary teachers, manuscript writing, children's literature, methods and materials of instruction in secondary schools, secondary teaching procedures, development and learning, analysis of curriculum and teaching, educational values, kindergarten proficiency, elementary student teaching, and secondary student teaching.
