Brigham Young University. Hosting Services

Hosting Services was originally set up in 1976 in part the celebrate the bicentennial of the country and centennial anniversary of the university. At first the organization set up tours of campus, but began to expand as more visitors came to the university. In 1997 Hosting Services was reorganized into Public Affairs and Guest Relations. Directors of Housing Services included: George Bowie (1976-1978), Craig Mcillory (1978-1984), Kurt Waldron (1984), and Ronald Clark (1984-1997).

Functions

One of Hosting Services original function was to set up tours of campus for guests. In addition Housing Services helped set up special events for VIP guest of the President and the University itself. They also help coordinate General Authority visits, ground breaking events, and graduation ceremonies.
