Student Life Learning Resource Center

The Student Life Learning Resource Center was established within the Counseling Center in Student Services in 1976. Franklin H. Hill served as the Center Coordinator in 1976. In 1978 it moved to the Counseling Center in Personal and Career Assistance Programs and in 1979 the Center became its own unit within the Personal and Career Assistance Program. The Student Life Learning Resource Center moved again in 1980 to Student Life Assistance Programs and finally was abolished in 1983.

Functions

The Student Life Learning Resource Center held a comprehensive current collection of essential educational, personal, social, and spiritual development information that could be accessed by students. The center specifically had materials available relating to personal and social adjustment, including such areas as: personality development, dating, marriage, budgeting, personal grooming, college adjustment, study habits, and university and technical school catalogs.
