In 1906, the School of Arts and Industries was renamed the School of Arts and Trades, while maintaining its administrative functions and departments. The Department of Household Economics continued to teach several courses with aim of training students in the domestic sciences and arts. In 1909, the School of Arts and Industries and its departments were absorbed by the High School.
