The Research Technology Group moved in 2006 to the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship when the Institute for the Study and preservation of Ancient Texts was renamed. The current RTG manager is James Rosenvall.

Functions

The Research Technology Group (RTG) developed and maintains a text retrieval and analysis program called WordCruncher. RTG also assists in the preparation of WordCruncher versions of electronic texts. With WordCruncher, one can easily find where one or more words occur in electronic texts. Its analysis tools facilitate the study of textual content and language.

The Research Technology Group functions under the administrative direction of a program manager who reports to the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship executive director.
