Marriott School of Management. Global Management Center

In 2002, the Brigham Young University and the University of Utah's joint Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) split apart. BYU's center was renamed the Global Management Center, and its administration was reorganized. The Center was housed in the Marriott School of Management and continued to receive federal funding as one of the nation's few CIBERs. In 2006, it was renamed the Kay and Yvonne Whitmore Global Management Center. It was directed by C. Brooke Derr from 2002 to 2006.

Functions

The Global Management Center works to provide the necessary education and training for students to compete in a global marketplace. The Center also fosters faculty international development and research, and facilitates global outreach with other universities, colleges, and businesses in the region.

The Center was managed by a director under the direction of the dean of the Marriott School of Management.
