Marriott School of Management. Dept. of Business Management

In 1997 the Marriott School of Management created the Department of Business Management in a reorganization of the earlier Institute of Business Management. Department chairs have included J. Michael Pinegar (1997-2004), Michael J. Swenson (2004-2009), and R. Bruce Money (2009- ).

The Department of Business Management included courses on readings for managers, personal finance, financial management, marketing management, operations management, basic entrepreneurship skills, management of financial institutions, principles of risk and insurance, risk management, investments, advanced investments, intermediate financial accounting, real estate administration, financial planning, introduction to international business, international marketing, international corporate finance, marketing research, consumer behavior, industrial marketing and procurement, professional selling and sales management, promotion management, retailing management, marketing strategy, advanced operations analysis, total quality management, contemporary issues in production and inventory management, entrepreneurial perspective, financing new ventures, creating and managing new ventures, and business policy.
