Harold B. Lee Library. Desktop and Server Operations Dept.
The Desktop and Server Operations Dept. was established in 2009. It was previously a part of the Library Information Systems Dept., and was created to help focus the work of LIS, as well as provide an in-library technical service department, which had previously been the job of the Office of Information Technology. Functions
Operations services all desktop computers within the library building. Personnel within this department are responsible for technical service, software and hardware management, and problem-solving for patrons and staff. Examples of services include increasing access services and information storage on the Y-Cloud (offered through OIT)
