David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. International Field Studies and Internships

In 1996 the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies created the International Field Studies and Internships Office. This office administered internships and field studies. The office was discontinued in 2000 when the International Study Programs was created.

Functions

The IFSI Office in the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies was designed to assist students in locating and tailoring an international experience that fits their academic needs. This included internships and field studies. Students were placed in eastern Europe, western Europe, Asia, south Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Fields of study included anthropology, communications, education, engineering, family sciences, international and area studies, international development, and marketing.

Assets and Administrative Structure

The International Field Studies and Internships Office was administered under the direction of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies.
