Functions
The Field Studies program was a research experience abroad for small numbers of students directed by faculty, who generally do not accompany the students. The field study offers students the flexibility to tailor an international experience to their individualized interests, studies, and life plans. Academic coursework and daily activities center around an inquiry-based project developed by the student.

The Field Studies program was administered under the direction of the International Study Program who administered under the direction of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies dean.
