David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. European Studies Program (1983-2002)

In 1983 the European Studies Program was placed under the direction of the David M. Kennedy Center for International Studies. Program coordinators included: Douglas F. Tobler (1983-1984), Gary L. Browning (1986-1987), Ted Lyon (1991-1992), and Hans-Wilhelm Kelling (1993-1994).

Functions

The program offered a B.A. and an M.A. in European Studies. It could be taken as an independent major or as a concurrent major to compliment a major in another applicable field. The program provided a liberal arts education in which students would enhance their understanding and appreciation of European cultures.
