Church Teachers College. Dept. of Economics and Commerce

Under the Church Teachers College, the Department of Economics, Sociology, and Commerce simplified its name in 1917, shortening it to the Department of Economics and Commerce, while still retaining its coursework in sociology. Then in 1919, the department split into the Department of Business Education and the Department of Economics and Sociology. The department chair was John C. Swenson (1917-1919).
