The Chair of the Student Advisory Council is the BYUSA executive vice president, who sets the agenda for council meetings and reports the council's recommendations to university administrators. The executive vice president organized the council members into committees, appointing chairpersons and assigning duties. It consists of 41 members: Twenty-six are elected by college student councils or appointed by college deans, twelve are from various university groups and organizations, and three are appointed by the SAC chair.
