The Traffic Committee studied ways of improving parking and the management of vehicular traffic on campus and initiated recommendations on policy related to campus parking and traffic. The Traffic Committee was the overseeing body of all traffic violations on BYU's campus. It studied ways to improve parking and vehicular traffic. This committee also worked at improving and determining traffic policies and maintaining overall security on BYU campus. Chairmen of this organization include L.M. Perry (1952-1954) and Leonard E. Christensen (1954-1963). In 1963, the Traffic Committee was merged with the University Safety Committee to form the University Traffic and Safety Committee.
