Student Housing was the organization that aided students in finding university approved housing. In 1979 Student Housing was renamed Housing and General Services. Directors of Student Housing included Fred A. Schwendiman (1954-1968), Carl D. Jones (1968-1972), and Delye Barton (1972-1979).

Student Housing had the main purpose of helping students find university approved housing both on and off campus. It functioned year round.
Assets and Administrative Structure
Student Housing was run by a director who reported to the director of Auxiliary Services. In 1960, Student Housing reported to the Vice-President of Auxiliary Services, and then the Vice-President of Auxiliary Services and Communication Services. In 1968, Student Housing reported to the Vice-President of Business Affairs. In 1975, Student Housing reported to the Vice-President of Support Services.
