The Student Auxiliary Services (SAS) was established in 1986 as an administration body within the University. In 1989 a shift in organization occurred. The Assistant Administrative Vice-President took over the chief administrative role, and the SAS assumed a wider variety of services and departments. SAS grew steadily in size, assuming a wide variety of programs and departments. In 1996, SAS was placed under Student Life and directed by the Assistant Student Life Vice-President. The following have served as officials over SAS: Norman Roberts (Coordinator, 1986-1988), R. Michael Whitaker (Associate Director, 1988), Dean Fairbank (Assistant Administrative Vice-President, 1990-2001), David A. Hunt (2001-).

Functions

Student Auxiliary Services acts as the central administrative body over a vast array of campus services and organizations, presiding over each outlet of the university that it's associated with in all activities including budgeting, planning, distribution services, maintenance, etc.

Assets and Administrative Structure

From 1986-1988 Student Auxiliary Services was under the direction of a Coordinator. In 1988 it was under the guidance of a Associate Director. In 1990 it came under the guidance of the Assistant Administrative Vice-President. In 1996 it came under the guidance of the Assistant Student Life Vice-President.
