Functions
Staff and Administrative Employment assists university departments in recruiting qualified candidates for full- and part-time positions, interprets employment law and policy, processes hires, communicates with and provides education and training for hiring managers, maintains part-time personnel files, and verifies employment for part-time employees.
Assets and Administrative Structure
Staff Employment was established in 1964. It functioned within the Campus Employment Office in 1970-1971 and then within the Employment Office from 1972-1985. In 1987, Staff Employment was called Staff & Administrative Employment and took on that extra responsibility. In 1997, Staff and Administrative Employment answered to Employment Services and was absorbed into that unit a year later.
