Brigham Young University. Spanish Resource Center

In 1999 a Spanish Resource Center was created on the BYU campus in conjunction with the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture and Brigham Young University. The program has operated since 1999 with a center director and BYU director. Currently the center's director is Maribel Luengo and the BYU director is Alvin F. Sherman.

Functions

The Spanish Resource Center is a gathering place for Spanish teachers, bilingual education teachers, students of all educational levels, administrators, and other people interested in the knowledge and diffusion of the Spanish Language and Hispanic cultures.

Assets and Administrative Structure

The Spanish Resource Center is administered in conjunction between Brigham Young University, the Brigham Young University Public School Partnership, and the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture. The program is a network of Spanish Resource Centers dependent upon the Spanish Embassy's Education Council, located at different universities in the United States and Canada. It is administered by a center director and a BYU director, under the direction of the College of Humanities.
