Functions

The School of Education was organized to prepare students to qualify for certification within the Church and State school systems to become instructors in elementary and high schools or to become principals in the High School.

Assets and Administrative Structure

Between 1920 and 1921, the School of Education was the administering body for a senior college, a junior college, and the Elementary Training School within the junior college. It was administered by a dean, Amos N. Merrill, under the direction of the president of the university.
