In 1904, the Department of Art and Manual Training was established in the School of Arts and Industries of Brigham Young University. It taught several manual training courses. In 1906, the Department of Art and Manual Training moved to the Normal School with its same head professor, Eastmond, and the coursework remained the same as well.
