Brigham Young University. School of Arts and Industries. Dept. of Agriculture
In 1904, the Department of Agriculture was established in the School of Arts and Industries of Brigham Young University. It taught several courses with aim of training students in various realms of agricultural work, "to enrich the experience of the farmer with the conclusions of science ... that his efforts may be more productive." In 1906, the School of Arts and Industries split into the School of Arts and Trades and the School of Agriculture. The School absorbed the former Department of Agriculture's coursework.
