Functions
The Radiation Safety Committee was ultimately responsible for radiological safety on BYU Campus. Their duties included: meeting annually to review the safety practices of all radiological laboratories on campus; determining University Policy with regard to radiation safety; reviewing and approving the safety aspects of any proposed radiological installation prior to final approval of the installation; and reviewing allegations of serious violations of radiological safety practices with the authority to close down any operation considered unsafe.
