Public Communication was responsible for overseeing mass media on all levels, local all the way up to international. In 1993 Margaret Smoot became the Advancement Vice President of University of Communications. Directors for Public Communications included Paul C. Richards (1983-1992), and Margaret Smoot (1992-1993).
