Multicultural Financial Aid was established within Multicultural Student Services in 1999. Mili McQuivey served as the financial aid counselor/multicultural advisor from 1999 to 2001. In 2001 Multicultural Financial Aid was abolished.

Functions
Multicultural Financial Awards assisted American minority students in locating financial-aid sources for grants and scholarships, provided work-study funding for these students, assisted them in identifying employers who were recruiting minority personnel, and helped American Indian students secure tribal funding.

Multicultural Financial Aid was administered by a financial aid counselor who reported to the director of Multicultural Student Services. In 2000 the position of financial aid counselor was renamed multicultural advisor.
