Functions
The Mail Service includes the operation of the U.S. Postal Service contract stations in the Wilkinson Center, the distribution of campus mail, and the handling of bulk mail.
Assets and Administrative Structure
From 1955 to 1968 the Mail Service was run by the Purchasing Department which was under the Auxiliary Services. In 1968 Mail Service began to report to University Press, and remained under that organization until 1984. From this time Mail Services reported to an Assistant to the President. In 1999 Mail Service became a part of Print and Mail Production Center. It is still a subunit of this organization.
