Established in 1979, Learning Services provided a variety of programs and facilities to students and faculty on campus. The director of the unit was Monte F. Shelley (1979-1986). In 1986, the unit was disbanded.

Functions
Learning Services provides student and teacher evaluation services, in-class media support (i.e. film delivery, AV equipment delivery, and a media production service), and out-of-class mediated instruction (e.g., facilities for the retrieval and delivery of audiovisual information to student and faculty). Units under Learning Services include Audiovisual Services, Computer Teaching Services, Instructional Graphics, the Academic Skills Center, Teacher Evaluation Services, and Testing Services.
