Instructional Services Division took on the duties formally part of Communication Services in 1972. It continued to oversee Broadcast Services, Educational Media Services, Electronic Media Services,and Motion Picture Production. In 1974 Instructional Services Division was dissolved all together. The director of Instructional Services Division was Darrel J. Monson (1972-1974).

Functions

Instructional Services Division continued to manage all communication services under one unit. Services included Broadcast Services, Educational Media Services, Electronic Media Services, Institute for Computer Uses in Education, Instructional Research and Development, Instructional Development Program, Instructional Television Services, Instructional Photo/Graphic Production, and Motion Picture Production.

Assets and Administrative Structure

The director of Communication Services oversees all other directors of the various communication services. The director of Communication Services originally reported to the Vice-President of Auxiliary and Communication Services, and starting in 1968 he reported to the Vice-President of Business Affairs.
