Functions

The Institute of Professional Accountancy was a program under the direction of the Graduate School of Management. In order to receive a bachelor or master degrees in accountancy, students would have to qualify and be accepted into the institute upon completion of program prerequisites. The program consisted of two phases: the first phase would generally be taken in the junior year and completion of the first phase would result in the awarding of a bachelor degree. Phase two offered students the opportunity to continue with in the masters program under the Graduate School of Management. Upon completion of phase two both the bachelor and and Master of Accountancy degrees would be awarded to the student.

The institute was an administrative organization that supervised both the accounting bachelor and master programs of the university. It was administered by the institute director, under the direction of the dean of the Graduate School of Management.
