Brigham Young University. Institute of Book of Mormon Projects
The Institute of Book of Mormon Projects began in 1966. Religious Education was growing at BYU and expanded to include this project in addition to the undergraduate and graduate degrees in the College of Religious Instruction. The Director was Daniel H. Ludlow (1966-1968) and Paul R. Cheesman (1968-1976). In 1976, the Institute of Book of Mormon Projects, since 1973 known as Book of Mormon Institute, was absolved into the Center for Religious Studies in Religious Instruction.

Assets and Administrative Structure
The Institute of Book of Mormon Projects was absolved into the Department of Ancient Scripture in 1973 when the College of Religious Instruction was renamed Religious Instruction with only two subordinate units.
