The ID Center prepares and issues identification cards to students and aids in the recovery of lost, stolen, or worn out ID cards. For a time the ID Center was in charge of evaluating, counseling, and following up on students who are in violation of the BYU Honor Code, specifically dress and grooming standards. Up until 1988 students would place a current activity sticker on their ID which would show their university status. In 1988 the stickers were replaced by a magnetic stripe that would hold the information.
