Brigham Young University. Humanities Program
The Humanities Program was created in 1964 under the direction of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Ralph A. Britsch served as the program coordinator from 1966 to 1970 when the program was abolished and replaced by the Department of Humanities and Comparative Literature.

Functions
The Humanities Program offered students a broad liberal education through training and intensive work in several of the humanities subjects. Subjects included philosophy, the social sciences, and other related areas. Students would also be required to complete a foreign language program.
