The Human Performance Research Center was founded in 1972 with Dr. Garth Fisher as its first director. The center became part of the College of Life Sciences in 2007 with Dr. Allen Parcell as the director.

Functions

The Human Performance Research Center supports research programs of faculty and graduate students on topics regarding exercise, nutrition, diseases, etc. The center is composed of 5 laboratories used to gain greater understanding of human health, exercise, and injuries.

Assets and Administrative Structure

The center is headed by a director and run by exercise science faculty members. Since 2007, the center has been pat of the College of Life Sciences under the direction of Dr. Allen Parcell.
