Brigham Young University. Honor Code Council

As part of a massive overhaul of the Honor Code in the fall of 1991, President Rex E. Lee instituted a student run Honor Code Council to work in conjunction with the Honor Code Office and the Honor Code Advisory Council. The Honor Code Council was assisted in its work through a number of committees The Honor Code Council was abolished in 1997.

Functions

The Honor Code Council performed three main functions through its subcommittees: the Education & Communication Committee educated and inspired members of the campus community to abide by the Honor Code; the Policy & Guidelines Committee recommended and revised guidelines for promoting personal accountability; and the Case Review Committee helped resolve certain violations of the Honor Code.

The Honor Code Council reported to and worked with the Honor Code Advisory Committee.
